Women’s Hairdressing Certificate – Level 2
COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is aimed at adults wanting to further and develop their skills in hairdressing .
The course runs 2 evenings per week Tuesday & Thursday 6pm-9pm. You will be encouraged to generate your own clientele through social media/family and friends, the college also has a large clientele record.
Units covered are as follows:
- Health and safety
- Working in the hair industry
- Advise and consult with clients
- Shampoo and condition hair
- The art of dressing hair
- Colour and lighten hair
- Cut women’s hair
- Create an image based on a theme
You will be required to provide models for assessment.
FURTHER INFORMATION
This study programme is suitable for new entrants to the hairdressing industry. The study programme is particularly suitable for mature students over the age of 19 who wish to retrain or change career.
Following this course you will be able to work in industry perfecting your skills working towards a stylist. Technical courses specialising in colour and cutting are a great progression route to build your confidence.
You will be assessed through a combination of practical services carried out on clients.
You will also sit online multiple choice exams for each unit, with a total of 8 exams sat over a period of 5 months.
Students aged 19 and over will have to pay tuition fees, awarding body registration or exam fees. Please note: You may be entitled to a Bursary payment to help with costs such as travel to College, trips and equipment and childcare. To qualify you must be resident in the UK and meet the eligibility criteria which will include evidence of your financial circumstances.
You will need to order a full kit to enable you to start and complete this course.
