AM2 CENTRE

AM2 Centre

The AM2 Centre at Crawley College is a licensed National Electrotechnical Training (NET) centre authorised to deliver NET assessments for electrical apprentices/trainees.

The facility includes 6 installation bays and 2 fault-finding bays to complete the assessments.

It is located on the mezzanine floor of the Longley 1 building at Crawley College and includes close links to the M23 and Crawley Train & Bus Station (both a 7 min walk).

Assessments

The AM2/AM2S/AM2E assessments aim to ensure all qualified electricians meet a uniform standard established by industry employers. These assessments are recognised trade tests managed and controlled by NET.

The AM2 should be taken by electrotechnical apprentices who are training against the Apprenticeship Framework, those undertaking the JIB Mature Candidate Assessment and those following the Level 3 NVQ who are not apprentices.

The AM2E is designed for those undertaking the Experienced Worker Qualification.

The AM2S is required for those training under the Apprenticeship Standard.

Conducted over 3 days at a designated centre, these assessments evaluate practical skills and theoretical knowledge of electrical installation procedures, including health and safety, practical installation tasks, fault finding, and an online multiple-choice exam.
