Level 1
C&G L1 Diploma in Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy
COURSE OVERVIEW
Depending on which qualification you choose, you’ll cover topics including:
- Hand care, skin care, nail art and shampooing
- Make up application and face painting
- Women’s hair styling
- Using colour to create an image.
- Plaiting and twisting hair
- Creating an image
- Communication and getting you work ready for the industry
For these qualifications you’ll complete practical demonstrations and assignments.
Level 1
You’re just starting out in hair and beauty and want a basic understanding of the industry in order to succeed in a job in the hair and beauty area or move on to further study.
Progression route from this course is Barbering Level 2 and Hair or Beauty VRQ Level 2
FURTHER INFORMATION
Full time Level 1 which is suitable for school leavers with a passion for hair and beauty therapy
3 GCSE’s grade 1 or above including English and maths and preferably a science.
Progression route from this course is Barbering Level 2 and Hair or Beauty VRQ Level 2.
Assessments take place periodically during the course. Attendance to English and maths is part of the program of study including PDP and work experience. Assignments are required for all units and will be required to be completed at home.
