COURSE OVERVIEW
It is ideal for those looking to equip themselves with lifesaving skills to prepare them to be amongst the first to arrive at a scene of an emergency, including first responders such as police officers, firefighters, emergency medical services and search and rescue personnel.
Some pre course reading will be required.
The course will run for 5 consecutive days 08.30-16.00
FURTHER INFORMATION
Learners must be at least 17 years old on the first day of training.
No formal entry requirements but is is recommended that learners have a minimum level 2 literacy or equivalent and a basic understanding of first aid.
Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (FREC3) qualification may be used towards other qualifications at the same and higher levels including Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (FREC4).
In addition, this qualification may aid career progression in a relevant profession such as Allied Health Professional (AHP), Paramedic or Nurse
Practical Assessments:
Adult basic life support
Child basic life support
Infant basic life support
Airway and ventilation skills
Prehospital emergency trauma care
Prehospital emergency medical care
Theory Assessments:
Invigilated exam, has a pass mark of 16 out of 21 questions and a maximum time of 30 minutes to complete
Multiple choice question paper, maximum time allowed for the multiple choice question paper is 60 minutes, the minimum mark is 28 out of 40 to be considered for an overall ‘Pass’;
Course Fee is £630 this includes reference book.
Qualification is valid for 3 years.
Re qualification will need to be completed before the expiry on certificate in order to maintain competency.
