COURSE OVERVIEW
This course designed for those aged 19+
From paying bills online, staying in touch with family and friends, to searching for jobs and learning new software for the workplace – it is more important than ever to get online.
Our courses are for adults with little or no experience of digital and IT systems. Offered in two stages our courses will include the following: basic Microsoft Office, sending emails for home and for work as well as video calling, WhatsApp, and Teams. By the end of the course, you will have become more confident in navigating our increasingly digital world. The following is a list of some of the topics you will cover:
- Using a digital device, search engines and handling digital information
- Creating and editing documents, images, audio and video files on a range of devices
- Using email and making video calls
- Paying for items and services online
- Staying safe in online environments
- Accessing job search websites
- Understanding basic technical issues and troubleshooting techniques
Wednesdays 9.30-11.30 for 12 weeks
FURTHER INFORMATION
Designed for those aged 19+ to develop your confidence and competence in Digital Skills for work and everyday life.
Students who complete the course can join the level 1 Essential Digital Skills programme.
The course is assessed through a portfolio that you will keep during the course.
