Students are required to have 5 grade 4 and above grades at GCSE or equivalent qualifications to include English and maths.
For the NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Policing, achieving a Merit typically earns you 48 UCAS points which is the current requirement for entry into the police (2025).
You could also progress onto the extended diploma in policing. This would gives you the opportunity to progress onto higher education, university or higher apprenticeships.
The NCFE Level 3 Diploma in Policing is assessed through a portfolio of evidence. This means that learners compile various pieces of work throughout the course to demonstrate their understanding and skills. The portfolio can include:

The assessment is internally assessed by the course tutors and then externally quality assured to ensure consistency and fairness.
Students are required to purchase and wear a uniform while in college and take part in enrichment activities that enhance the classroom learning. A fee of £50 is required to contribute towards the trips and activities.
