COURSE OVERVIEW
This course is designed to give learners the knowledge, understanding, and practical skills needed to work confidently in the care sector. This qualification not only opens doors to employment in social care but also supports progression to higher-level studies. Learners will be required to attend work/practical placement to support their learning.

FURTHER INFORMATION
Learners are required to have 4 GCSEs grade 4-9 including English Language. Level 2 equivalent may be considered. Previous experience in health or care will support your application, and a satisfactory reference from previous educational setting. Due to the nature and requirements of working in the social care sector, a satisfactory and clear DBS check at an enhanced level is required. Please be aware that if the DBS check comes back with anything being flagged that may be of some concern, your application could be withdrawn following a meeting with the Head of Learning. An interview will be completed prior to acceptance on the course, where you will be required to bring proof of predicted grades and reference from your school. It is also advisable that learners have access to ICT facilities and resources.

To be awarded this qualification, learners are required to successfully pass all 23 units which are internally assessed and externally quality assured.
