COURSE OVERVIEW
The Level Three UAL in Creative Digital Media Production is a rigorous specialist vocational programme, with a strong work related emphasis. It offers practical units combined with an extensive range of teaching and learning methods that enhance the learners’; self confidence. A range of disciplines are taught on the course in order to maximise learners’; skills base and improve employability. This course offers an opportunity to gain some of the necessary skills required to work in the media industry.
The course has two pathways. One is for film/tv production where you will use professional software packages such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Microsoft Office. Learn by doing work based projects where you are required to research, plan and present a ‘live’; project. On the course you will study subjects such as ‘Photography’;, ‘Digital Moving Image’; and ‘Animation’; to improve your knowledge and professionalism in various areas of the media.
The other pathway is gaming. On this course, you will learn about, Building a playable environment, Character designs and giving them a voice and how a game is born.
Both pathways concludes with a final major project that is your design. Tutors will help support your creative vision but this will be your opportunity to bring your creative vision to life!
You will be expected to spend approximately 15 hours each week studying in College.

This course is designed for students who have:
Four GCSEs at grade 4 and above. English GCSE or equivalent at grade 4. Maths GCSE or equivalent at grade 4. Level 2 qualification in the subject specialism will be considered

Progression to University
Progression to a Higher National Diploma.
Progression into employment.
Assessment will be through project and assignment work.
There are no associated costs with this provision however students will need to contribute towards trips.
An important part of all vocational courses at Chichester College is work experience. You are expected to complete work experience over the period of the course. This gives you invaluable experience of working life, and can lead to increased employment opportunities. If you are under 19, and not in possession of Grade 4 GCSE’;s in Maths and English, you will continue to work towards them whilst at the college.
