UAL Diploma in Performing Arts and Production Art (Level 2)


This course is a one-year, Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts. The course covers developing your current skills in both Performance and Production skills as well as supporting you to focus on your own set of goals, how you develop skills for the world of work and developing your own C.V. You will experience a range of performance opportunities throughout the year in college, at the Hawth Theatre and with other performance sites. You will also get the opportunity to work with students on other courses in college and college group.

Every learner at Crawley College who is under 19 will undertake a personal Study Programme designed to develop them academically, practically and personally.

• Subject Course -; Vocational or chosen Academic subject, usually studied for 12 -; 16 hours a week.

• English and Maths -; Every learner will work towards GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths or Functional Skills. Learners who have already achieved a Grade 4 or C will extend their English and Maths through in-class activities.

You will have specific time in your timetable for each of the three elements above and you will be expected to attend all elements throughout the year. Study programmes are designed to help you meet your maximum potential and progress to the next level of study or into work.

There may be occasions when students may need to attend their course in an evening. These rare occasions will be when the course is undertaking a live performance or when extra rehearsals are needed.


A collection of GCSE’s at grade 2 or above. A genuine interest in the subject is required.
It would be an advantage to have some experience of working in theatre or on shows but not compulsory.

Complete each step of the application form and then submit your completed form. We’ll let you know when we’ve safely received it with an acknowledgement email.

Step 3

Application Review Meeting

Before offering you a place at college, we’ll meet with you (either in person, by telephone or online). We’ll send you a link to our booking page where you can select a time that’s convenient for you.

Step 4

Accept Your Place

Offers will be sent to you via the email address you have provided. The offer will be conditional, based on predicted GCSE grades. You’ll need to accept your offer within 14 days to secure your place.

Step 5

What next?

Once you receive your GCSE results, you’ll need to get in touch with the college to inform us of them and start your enrolment process.
