Level 3

T Level in Media, Broadcast and Production

COURSE OVERVIEW

Creating effective, impactful and targeted media content takes knowledge, experience and passion. On our Content Creation T-Level you will be learning your craft alongside professional content creators, through work placement opportunities and a carefully designed media curriculum. You will learn the latest theories and techniques and apply these to live projects.
We believe the next generation of content creators need to be problem solvers, with a willingness to embrace new opportunities in what is a rapidly evolving media landscape. Working collaboratively and as part of a team, you will learn the skills for creative thinking, deliver creative solutions to meet the clients’; requirements, as well as assignments set.
Understanding of processes is key to success, during your two-year course you will develop projects through each stage of production, from development to production and beyond. Working with employers will give you real world insight into the challenges of working within a professional setting and provide you with the experience you will need in life beyond your college studies. You will learn about ethics, social responsibility and of course… deadlines.
You will discover the importance, relevance and practical uses of an in-depth appreciation and understanding of cultural, historical, technological and social contexts. You will recognise how these inform and influence the development of existing media platforms and content.
By the end of course you will have a broad and distinct portfolio of media work, have developed a comprehensive understanding of how we create content and how to make the right decisions, you will have undertaken work placements within the media sector and have developed a professional, industry-ready mindset.
