COURSE OVERVIEW
Bienvenidos to our Conversational Spanish course! If you’ve already mastered the basics and want to focus on improving your speaking and listening skills in a relaxed and interactive environment, these short recreational courses are perfect for you.
Course Overview:
- Speaking and Listening Practice: Engage in lively discussions, role-plays, and interactive speaking activities designed to boost your confidence and fluency in Spanish.
- Vocabulary Expansion: Learn new vocabulary and idiomatic expressions commonly used in everyday conversations, helping you express yourself more naturally and effectively.
- Cultural Insights: Explore cultural topics and current events relevant to Spanish-speaking communities around the world, gaining a deeper understanding of Hispanic culture and society.
Course Highlights:
- Conversations: Participate in conversation sessions where you’ll have the opportunity to practice speaking with fellow learners in a relaxed and informal setting.
- Debate and Discussion: Engage in debates and discussions on a variety of topics, allowing you to express your opinions and engage in meaningful conversations.
- Role-Playing Scenarios: Take on different roles in simulated real-life situations, such as ordering food in a restaurant, making travel arrangements, or discussing current events.
Topics Covered: Everyday conversations and greetings; Socialising and making small talk; Discussing hobbies, interests, and personal experiences; Sharing opinions on current events and cultural topics; Giving and receiving directions; Making plans and arrangements with friends; Talking about food and recipes; Talking about travels; Talking about family.
By the end of this course, you can expect to have significantly improved your conversational skills in Spanish, feeling more comfortable and confident engaging in conversations with native speakers and fellow learners alike. This conversational class is courses for adults (19+) who have 120 hours of previous study of the language in an adult setting, or previous learning of a similar length. (Equivalent A2). If in doubt, our tutor will be happy to advise you.
Our Spanish Conversation class runs from 25/098/2024-19/03/2025 (19:00-21:00) – Wednesdays
Please note this course does not run during the half-term or end-of-term breaks.

Continuous classroom assessment based on Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA)
