Level 3

Heat Pumps

COURSE OVERVIEW

The training and assessment have been designed to provide the necessary skills for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, handover, servicing and fault-finding of ground and air source heat pump systems in accordance with the latest NOS/QCF criteria and MCS scheme requirements.

Low-carbon heat pumps are critical technologies for decarbonising heat. To meet the UK’;s legally-binding climate targets, thousands more heating engineers will need to learn to install and maintain these technologies.

The Heat Training Grant supports trainees in England taking short training courses relevant to heat pumps and heat networks. Trainees can receive grants of up to £500 towards eligible courses.

The Heat Training Grant is funded by UK Government. You can find out more about the grant here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/thousands-of-heat-pump-installers-to-be-trained-for-fraction-of-the-price
