Why this course?
The main aim of the French Beginners course is to help you learn the fundamentals of the French language and develop a strong foundation for further study. Throughout the course, you will cover essential vocabulary and basic grammar topics, enabling you to communicate confidently in a range of everyday situations. These skills will help you interact effectively while travelling in France and other French-speaking countries, as well as understand and use simple spoken and written French in practical contexts.

If enrolling for French for Beginners 2 you do not have to have completed Beginners 1 with us, however you will need 20 hours of previous study of the language in an adult setting, or previous learning of a similar length. Students must be aged 19+

- Order food and drinks in French.
- Manage common tourist and travel situations.
- Discuss hobbies, interests, and everyday activities.
- Improve listening skills through audio exercises and conversations.
- Develop speaking skills through dialogues and role plays.
- Strengthen reading skills through comprehension activities.
- Practise writing short texts and assignments in French.
- Learn about French culture, traditions, and everyday life.
Your tutor will advise you on options for further study of the language.
