Excel Advanced
COURSE OVERVIEW
Excel Advanced is an interactive one-day course designed for experienced Excel users who want to unlock the full potential of Microsoft Excel and make greater use of its advanced features. Delegates will develop their skills in auditing and validating data, using look-up functions such as VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP, and applying logical functions including IF and AND to perform complex calculations and analysis.
The course also covers advanced text functions, working with fractions, and automating repetitive tasks using macros and button assignments. Participants will explore powerful analytical tools such as Goal Seek and Scenarios for forecasting and decision-making, as well as techniques for consolidating data from multiple sources. By the end of the course, delegates will be confident in creating meaningful summaries and interactive reports using Subtotals and Pivot Tables, enabling them to analyse data more effectively and support business decision-making.

This course is ideal for users who are already confident using Excel and would like to develop their knowledge of advanced spreadsheet functions and tools. It is particularly suitable for those who regularly work with data, reporting and analysis and want to improve efficiency and productivity.

There is no formal assessment for this course. Learning is delivered through practical, hands-on activities that allow delegates to apply advanced Excel techniques in realistic workplace scenarios.
Delegates must attend the full day to receive a college certificate.
