Our Essential ESOL courses are aimed at students aged 16-19 who do not have English as their first language.
Essential ESOL
The aim is to help students gain the English language, maths and IT skills they need in order to progress with further study or to enter employment.
The ESOL study programme includes English lessons, functional maths and IT, as well as citizenship, allowing students to better understand how to live and work in the UK. There is also the option for students to take a vocational option such as construction, health and social care, media and motor vehicle maintenance, in preparation for a full-time course at the college.
Students will be supported throughout their course by specialist tutors who will assess their needs and provide any additional assistance.
