Crawley College Statement

Following an incident on campus earlier today (25 April 2024), Crawley College has released the following statement:

“There was a serious incident on campus earlier today, which did involve a large police presence.

“We would like to reassure our college community that this was an isolated incident involving one individual. We are working with Sussex Police and can confirm there is believed to have been no threat to the college or the wider public.

“We understand there has been a lot of false speculation about the nature of the incident on social media, while we cannot comment on specific detail we do want to assure everyone that the college is safe and remains open for all classes.

“We are grateful to staff and the emergency services for their support and swift actions.”
