COURSE OVERVIEW
Health Care and Childcare are two of the most rewarding and complex industries to work in. Due to the responsibility, compassion and professionalism that you are required to have in these industries it is important that you are fully trained and understand what is expected of you. This course is designed to provide you with the best possible understanding and skills in both of these areas, which will enable you to make a informed choice for you and your career. Every learner at Crawley College who is under 19 will undertake a personal Study Programme designed to develop them academically, practically and personally. Study Programmes contain 3 essential elements.
- Subject Course- Vocational or Chosen Academic subject, usually studied for 12-16 hours a week
- English and Maths – Every Learner will work towards Level English and Maths (C grade equivalent).Learners who have achieved a Grade C will extend their English and Maths
- ACES – where students will work with their Student Tutor in individual sessions.
FURTHER INFORMATION
You will need to show a keen interest in the subject of Health and Early years.
Once you have completed this programme you will be able to decide if you want to continue with a career in Health and Social Care or Early Years Childcare at Level 2.
You will be asked to produce a portfolio of evidence throughout the programme, which will then be marked internally.
Students 16-18 year olds will not have to pay tuition fees, awarding body registration or exam fees. Please note: You may be entitled to a Bursary payment to help with costs such as travel to College, trips and equipment, a food allowance and childcare. To qualify you must be resident in the UK and meet the eligibility criteria which will include evidence of your financial circumstances. Students aged 19 and over will have to pay tuition fees, awarding body registration or exam fees. - Notepad
- Pen
- Ring Binder Folder
- Plastic Wallets
- Dividers
- USB
- Access to a PC
