COURSE OVERVIEW
This award is designed for those people who may encounter accident damaged or broken-down vehicles, e.g. emergency services and roadside recovery operators. It contains the knowledge required to work safely around a vehicle’s high & low voltage electrical system and electric drive train system.
FURTHER INFORMATION
There are no pre-requisites for this single unit qualification, however, it is recommended that learners will have 3 GCSEs, or Scottish Standard Grade/Intermediate in Mathematics, English and a Science based subject.
This qualification will help support progression onto qualifications that further develop knowledge and skills within a technical role, carrying out diagnosis, repair and testing of high voltage components on Electric/Hybrid vehicles at level 2 or level 3.
In order to pass this qualification, candidates must demonstrate its learning outcomes by following and achieving its 2 assessment components: Online Test and oral assessment.
The cost of this two module course is £275
Candidates should be in good health and have no electronic medical support devices (such as – pacemaker or insulin pump) which may be affected by the high voltage and strong magnetic fields which could be encountered on this course.
