COURSE OVERVIEW
The main aim of German for Beginners is to help you learn the basics of the German language and build a strong foundation for further study. You will cover essential vocabulary and grammar topics that will enable you to communicate in everyday situations that you might encounter whilst travelling in Germany or German speaking countries. Throughout the course, you will have the opportunity to:
- Develop your confidence in using German in a variety of everyday settings such as introducing yourself, ordering food and drink, getting by in tourist situations, and talking about your hobbies and interests.
- Practise your listening and speaking skills through a variety of interactive activities, including dialogues, role plays, and audio exercises.
- Develop your reading and writing skills through comprehension tasks and short written assignments.
- Learn about different aspects of German life and culture.
By the end of the course, you should feel more confident in your ability to understand and speak German at a basic level. We hope you enjoy the journey and wish you much success in your studies!
German for Beginners Stage 2 is a part-time course for adults (19+) with 20 hours of previous knowledge of the language in an adult setting.
This course is on a Monday evening starting on 12 January 2026 (19:00 – 21:00).
This course does not run in half term or end of term breaks.

Continuous classroom assessment based on Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement (RARPA).
Course fees: £165.00
Please bring with you to the first session a pen and a notebook.
