Why choose this course?

This 12-month Administration Assistant Apprenticeship is designed for employed individuals aged 16-24 working in an administrative role across any sector. The programme develops a broad range of transferable administrative skills, knowledge and behaviours that can be applied in a variety of organisational settings. The apprenticeship includes a 12-week end-point assessment period, with start dates available throughout the year.

Delivered in partnership with Mindful Education, the programme combines flexible online learning with regular live virtual classroom sessions. Apprentices complete online study materials at times that suit their work commitments and attend tutor-led sessions where they can discuss learning, take part in group activities and apply theory to real workplace situations.

Learners will develop skills in business communication, supporting meetings, producing professional documents, using digital tools, managing information securely, following organisational policies and procedures, and delivering work to quality standards.

Units include:

Understanding your organisation and role

Workplace skills development

Teamwork and administration

Digital skills

The flexible delivery model minimises disruption to employers while providing apprentices with direct support from tutors and opportunities to collaborate with fellow learners.
