TYPES OF ACCOMMODATION
Homestay means that you will live in a house with a local host (this may be a single person, couple or family). Homestay is available to all students on full-time courses.
You can specify whether you wish to be in a smoking or non-smoking household and can choose to stay in accommodation with or without pets or children.
All our homestay providers are inspected by a member of the accommodation team each academic year, have a fire risk assessment, a yearly gas safety check and complete our online safeguarding module in line with the college policy.
Host providers will provide unlimited internet to their students at no extra cost.
Half board homestay accommodation means that your host will provide you with breakfast and an evening meal during the week and breakfast, lunch and dinner at the weekend. These meals are included in the price of the accommodation.
You’ll share the facilities in the house you stay in with your host. Laundry is included once a week in the price of your accommodation. Any extra laundry should be discussed with your host.
Self-catering homestay accommodation means that you’ll live in a house with your host and will have the freedom to cook for yourself. You’ll need to provide your own food and do your own washing up! Self-catering homestay accommodation is available to all students who are on a full-time course and over 17 years old.
You’ll share the facilities in the house you stay in with your host. Laundry is also your responsibility, although the host provider’s facilities are available.
