Candidates will ideally have a Level 2 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Competencies (or equivalent) and English language and Maths GCSE grade C/4 or above (if not they will work towards Functional Skills equivalents) Apprentices must be in paid employment in the relevant industry to cover the requirements of the standard and will ideally work at least 30 hours per week. Assessments need to be taken to determine suitability for the Apprenticeship and to look at additional support if required. The Apprentice must have a contract of employment and be covered under their employer’s relevant insurance.
