If you have a passion for great food and excellent customer service, a qualification in hospitality can open doors to exciting roles in restaurants, hotels and the tourism sector.

You’ll perfect your culinary skills with first-hand guidance from lecturers who’ve worked as chefs in successful restaurants. You’ll learn how to prepare food in our training kitchen and out on work placement, serving real customers in preparation for a career in this fast-paced industry.

Our excellent links within the industry mean that you’ll hear from guest speakers, attend cooking demos and local festivals and take part in competitions to demonstrate your skills.

Our Facilities Hospitality

Work Experience

Crawley College has excellent links within the industry, giving our students exciting work placement opportunities. You will have the chance to work in selected hotels, as a planned working experience, as well as working on shift patterns alongside other students and a chef lecturer, to serve real customers.

Practical Learning

You will learn the theory and test it in our onsite training kitchen and preparing lunches/ dinners for paying guests in our acclaimed 58th restaurant. This offers an exciting way to learn, alongside masterclasses and trips to food markets and food production factories.

Expert Teaching

You will have first-hand guidance from lecturers who’ve worked as chefs in successful restaurants. As well as hearing from guest speakers, attending cooking demos and local festivals, this essential knowledge will transfer to any job where customer service skills are required.
