About the course
This Apprenticeship Standard is suitable for those working in residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres, or some clinical healthcare settings. In addition Lead Adult Care Workers have responsibility for providing supervision, frontline leadership, guidance and direction for others, or working autonomously, exercising judgement and accountability.
This Apprenticeship Standard will include the CACHE Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (England) (Adult Care pathway only) as the mandatory qualification. With support from Crawley College, you will develop and maintain examples of your work through on-programme training to meet qualification criteria within an electronic portfolio.
Your on-programme training will consist of the following elements:
Completion of The Care Certificate
Completion of CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care
Achievement of Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
Completion of Self-Assessment Exercise
After the completion of on-programme training and in consultation with your employer, your End Point Assessment (EPA) will be booked. This will usually happen at least 12 months into the Apprenticeship.
Your End Point Assessment will be made up of 2 separate elements and will be carried out by an Independent End Point Assessor:
Situational Judgement Test
Following the successful completion of your End Point Assessment you will be awarded a grade of pass, merit or distinction.
