This course is suitable for those in purchasing and supply in the Manufacturing, Service, Retail and Public Sectors.

The Diploma is appropriate for people working in technical and professional jobs, and/or managing and developing others. The range of skills developed covers contract management and negotiation, relationship management, measuring supply chain effectiveness and planning and control.

The normal minimum entry requirement is five GCSE passes including English Language and a quantitative subject, and at least two at GCE A levels.

Applicants without the formal education requirements may enrol provided they have reached the age of 21 years, and have the support of their employer. It is recommended that prospective students contact the course tutor immediately to arrange an informal interview.

Students who intend to start in September should apply during the period from April to September.  The interview will enable both tutor and prospective student to clarify the suitability for entry to the intended course. It is important for prospective students to contact the Institute to register and check for any exemptions after interview and before starting the course.
