About the course

The qualification is designed to enable delegates to understand principles, practices and legislation for periodic inspection, testing and condition reporting of electrical installations in accordance with statutory and non-statutory regulations and requirements. Its content is the knowledge needed by a delegate to underpin the application of skills of the periodic inspection, testing and condition reporting of electrical installations.

WHO CAN JOIN?

Practising electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update of training. The qualification is also suitable for those with limited experience of initial inspection of electrical installations, such as those entering the industry from other engineering disciplines.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED

To achieve the qualification delegates must successfully complete one online multiple choice test (2391-501) and one practical assignment (2391-051).

Daytime 9am to 5.00pm or evenings 6pm to 9pm

AFTER COMPLETING THE COURSE

On successful completion, candidates will be able to progress to the City & Guilds Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations.

  • Students who need to use cars to travel to Crawley campus should be aware that there is very limited parking available. If you drive to the College you will get a parking permit with your booking confirmation. As well as displaying your car park permit, you will be charged 50p per day to park. There is also a bus stop and train station located very close to the college.
