Crawley College celebrates its Stars of 2023
Crawley College marked a host of exceptional achievements at its annual Star Awards ceremony with a glittering night of celebration.
More than 20 students and members of staff scooped awards at the ‘Stars of 2023’ on Wednesday 1 November at The Capitol Theatre in Horsham, where the college – in collaboration with Brinsbury College – paid tribute to their hard work, determination and accomplishments over the past year.
The first performance, Welcome to the Rock by Theatre Inc, brought the ceremony to life, along with a performance of From Now On by The Greatest Showman, which was delivered by performance and production art students from Crawley College, who were joined by students from Chichester College.
But the night really belonged to Crawley’s Brightest Star, Noah Steggles.
He said: “I am really surprised to get the Brightest Star Award and I really want to thank Sally, Jono and Pete for all their support. They’ve really helped me through my course and they mean a lot to me.”
Sally Challis-Manning MBE, Principal of Crawley and Brinsbury Colleges, presented the awards alongside Dean Wynter, Assistant Principal of Crawley College, and Alison Bell, Vice Principal of Brinsbury College.
Sally said: “This was an incredible night of celebration, which showcases the brilliant talent here at Crawley College.
“We’re extremely proud of our students and our staff, and all of their accomplishments. The dedication, commitment and enthusiasm they have really does shine through in everything they do.
“My congratulations to all of our award winners – and to Noah, a very worthy winner of the Brightest Star award.”
