COURSE OVERVIEW
This designed for those aged 19+
Coding can seem a scary prospect and you may think you need a computer science degree to learn to code. That might be true if you want to land a job as a software engineer. But every programmer has to start somewhere. With this interactive course you can work on exercises with support from teachers to learn to code. No prior knowledge of coding or computer programming is required.
The aim of this course is to introduce the programming language Python. The course is designed to teach the tools one by one, giving exercises that allow you to practice each element. Students learn programming by programming! Python is an excellent language for beginning programmers allowing students to develop their skills further after completing the course or easily switch to another programming language.
To complete the interactive elements of the course, you’ll need a desktop or laptop computer with an internet connection. During the course, you’re going to be supported to install Python onto your computer (it’s free), and don’t worry, we’ll walk you through it.
