COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is designed to enable delegates to prepare and deliver targeted, effective and professional presentations, focussing on the three key areas: preparation and planning, structuring a presentation and delivery.

Delegates will leave with a much clearer understanding of how to maximise their impact in presentations, and with a toolkit of helpful techniques.

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Plan and structure presentations for maximum impact
  • Cope with nerves more effectively
  • Deliver presentations clearly, persuasively and with confidence
  • Gain and maintain the interest of the audience
  • Select and use visual aids professionally
  • Confidently handle questions
  • Identify personal strengths and areas to focus for development

Please note as part of the training you are required to prepare a couple of short presentations, as this will enhance your training on the day.

Please see below pre-workshop activities:

Pre workshop activity 1 – Please can the delegates create and present a 6 minute pp presentation that will be assessed. This will able the delegates to develop knowledge, create greater confidence and deliver an engaging experience on a consistent basis. The Topic will be work related with the purpose of installing knowledge and understanding of the topic to the audience. It will be presented in a professional and formal manner.

Pre workshop activity 2 – Please can the delegates prepare a 4 minute presentation without pp and will be interactive with the audience; example a question to pose to the group. The Topic will be about the place / town / area you grew up in or a holiday destination you have enjoyed. This will be delivered sitting down in an informal and professional manner.
