Level 2
OCN L2 Dip in Site Carpentry
COURSE OVERVIEW
The purpose of this qualification is to equip learners with the knowledge and understanding to progress into a job role in the construction industry. Learners also have the option to go on to undertake a Level 3 qualification in their chosen trade.
This Level 2 qualification provides learners with a range of site carpentry skills and knowledge. Learners will also develop an understanding of the health and safety requirements for working in the construction industry, and the industry itself.
FURTHER INFORMATION
If you are a school leaver you can join our full time provision 3 days per week if you have achieved GCSE Maths and English at grade 4 or above. You can also join the course if you have achieved a Level 1 Carpentry and Joinery qualification.
For adult learners you can join our evening course which runs for 2 days a week. We recommend that you have achieved the Level 1 Carpentry and Joinery qualification to progress onto this qualification
After completing the course you may want to progress onto a Level 3 Site Carpentry course, an apprenticeship or into employment within the industry.
You will be assessed through practical and theory assessments as well as via an in depth portfolio
