OCN L2 Dip Bricklaying (Part time)


This course runs 2 evenings per week generally runs on Mondays & Tuesdays from 6pm-9pm and will be confirmed at interview stage.

Within the framework of NOCN Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying, the learner will cover knowledge in three core subject areas:

-Health, safety and welfare

-Information, quantities and communication

-Construction Technology

The Learner will also learn key practical skills and knowledge in:

-Set out masonry structures

-Construct solid walling incorporating isolated and attached piers

-Construct cavity walling forming masonry structures

-Construct masonry cladding

-Construct thin joint masonry.


There are no formal entry requirements to take this qualification. This NOCN Cskills Awards Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying (Construction) qualification can be undertaken without any previous training or qualifications in this subject area. You do not need any prior qualifications to undertake this level 2 qualification however we do offer a level 1 in Bricklaying which will give you the knowledge and skills required to work in the construction industry. If you have already undertaken a level 1 qualification in Bricklaying or a similar qualification or have relevant experience, you may already have the skills and knowledge required to undertake this qualification.

You’ll be prompted to create an account which will allow you to log in to our Application Tracker website whenever you wish. This will provide you with important information and you can also track the progress of your application.

Complete each step of the application form and then submit your completed form. We’ll let you know when we’ve safely received it with an acknowledgement email.

Step 3

Application Review Meeting

Before offering you a place at college, we’ll meet with you (either in person, by telephone or online). We’ll send you a link to our booking page where you can select a time that’s convenient for you.

Step 4

Accept Your Place

Offers will be sent to you via the email address you have provided. The offer will be conditional, based on predicted GCSE grades. You’ll need to accept your offer within 14 days to secure your place.

Step 5

What next?

Once you receive your GCSE results, you’ll need to get in touch with the college to inform us of them and start your enrolment process.
