Managing Stress in the Workplace

COURSE OVERVIEW

The course will enable delegates to identify signs and causes of stress. They will explore tactics to help them manage their own stress more effectively and learn how to support colleagues. They will also look at how their organisation can assess and control the risk of stress related illness.

The course will cover:

  • Identify the signs, causes and impact of stress
  • Describe the stages of stress and impact on health
  • Explore tactics for self help
  • Explore ways to support colleagues suffering from stress
  • HSE Management Standards Approach and applying the HSE risk factors to their own roles

This is suitable for employees that encounter stress on a regular basis in the workplace at all levels. It also is ideal for anyone in a leadership position to learn more about the concepts of stress and the factors that contribute to it developing.
