Interviewing for Success


The skill of the interviewer is to establish interviewee behaviours and match to organisational needs.

Topics covered are:

  • Prepare and plan the interview
  • Interviewing skills
  • The causes and effects of poor selection
  • Evaluation and making the right choice
  • The law impacting on recruitment

The course will introduce the delegates to the essential skills needed to correctly identify vacancies, and where necessary re-define the job role. They will be familiarised with, and coached in, the preparation and planning for the interview.

There will be an opportunity to learn and practice interviewing techniques including those used for some of the different interviewees that might be encountered.

By the end of the course delegates will be able to:

  • Prepare and plan for interviews
  • Understand and use some important interviewing techniques
  • Recognise and describe the effects of poor selection
  • Appreciate the importance of proper evaluation and understand the methods employed to achieve the right selection


Suitable for delegates who have recently moved into a role where recruitment is now included in their responsibilities. Also the course is useful for people who wish to get an insight into methods to help improve their success in interviews.

Set Up Your Account

You’ll be prompted to create an account which will allow you to log in to our Application Tracker website whenever you wish. This will provide you with important information and you can also track the progress of your application.

Complete each step of the application form and then submit your completed form. We’ll let you know when we’ve safely received it with an acknowledgement email.

Step 3

Application Review Meeting

Before offering you a place at college, we’ll meet with you (either in person, by telephone or online). We’ll send you a link to our booking page where you can select a time that’s convenient for you.

Step 4

Accept Your Place

Offers will be sent to you via the email address you have provided. The offer will be conditional, based on predicted GCSE grades. You’ll need to accept your offer within 14 days to secure your place.

Step 5

What next?

Once you receive your GCSE results, you’ll need to get in touch with the college to inform us of them and start your enrolment process.
