COURSE OVERVIEW
You will really gain in-depth experience and knowledge of beauty services including:
- Promote and sell products and services to clients
- Anatomy and physiology
- Body massage
- Facial electrotherapy treatments
- Body electrotherapy treatments
- Dry spa treatments
- Body stone therapy treatments
You will also learn more about the business aspects of running a salon, including finances and promotions. On completion you will achieve a high-level qualification in beauty therapy to enable you seek employment in a spa as a senior therapist. Every learner at Crawley College who is under 19 will undertake a personal Study Programme designed to develop them academically, practically and personally. Study Programmes contain 3 essential elements:
- Subject Course – Vocational or chosen Academic subject, usually studied for 12 – 16 hours a week.
- English and Maths – Every learner will work towards GCSE grade 4 in English and Maths or Functional Skills. Learners who have already achieved a Grade 4 or C will extend their English and Maths through in-class activities.
- 3E – Our own brand of specific entrepreneurship, enterprise and employability training.
You will have specific time in your timetable for each of the three elements above and you will be expected to attend all elements throughout the year. Study programmes are designed to help you meet your maximum potential and progress to the next level of study or into work.
FURTHER INFORMATION
4x GCSEs at grade 4-9 including English and Maths or 4x GCSEs at grade A-C including English and Maths and completed a Level 2 Beauty qualification.
At Level 3, you will have lots of choices for your next step. You will be a fully-qualified therapist so you can work in a spa, salon or even consider further study in the field of salon management.
In order to successfully complete this qualification learners are required to complete : End Point Theroy Exam End Point Synoptic practical assessment
